APTech and Tarsus Join Forces

Tarsus Group (owner and organizer of the Labelexpo and Brand Print Global Series of trade shows) and the Association for PRINT Technologies (owner and organizer of the PRINT® event) have today announced that they will combine efforts to launch Brand Print Americas. This will take place in lieu of PRINT® 2020 and will be co-located with the 2020 edition of Labelexpo Americas, happening at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, from September 15-17.

Hope for the Future

In a recent article by Keypoint Intelligence that ran in WhatTheyThink, a point was made that with more PSPs adopting wide format, this service is no longer the differentiator it once was.   Commoditization is a natural byproduct of herd-like business convergence in a mature industry. The time between cycles will only accelerate. But there is hope. Successful businesses in the future will be built on developing entirely new experiences for a new set of customers. It will come though products that haven’t been invented before (think the iPhone). It will come through using lateral thinking to give withered technology new life (think Nintendo). What is Print?

Heralding a bold new mission to drive Printing Industry growth, the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech), formerly NPES, has a new identity that is both a nod to the Association’s signature annual event—PRINT®—which it has produced since 1968, and marks a defining moment in the Association’s 85-year history. Additionally, the new name signifies progress toward completion of its Strategic Business Plan for the Industry, which launched in January 2017.
