Wayne Peterson

Principal

Black Canyon Consulting Group, Inc.

Too many mission statements are little more than a patchwork of platitudes and buzzwords. No energy, little insight, no real guidance on what to do or how to behave … they’re merely placeholders in lieu of a genuine strategy.

An effective competitive strategy describes the challenges facing your organization and the specific, tangible actions you’ll take to tackle them. Unfortunately, few companies can clearly articulate why anyone should want to be their customers. And that’s where Wayne excels.

Wayne builds effective B2B business strategies for SMEs (small to medium-sized enterprises) that leverage your capabilities and resources, and align with your organizational culture.

Prof. Maury Peiperl

Dean

George Mason University School of Business

Maury is an authority on change, talent, and leadership, in particular leadership that crosses markets and borders.  His 2015 Harvard Business Review article “CEOs Need Mentors Too” (with Suzanne de Janasz) showed how some leaders maximize their continued learning while others underperform in the role despite the stellar performance that got them there. His books include the market-leading text Managing Change (McGraw Hill), as well as the central reference in the careers field, The Handbook of Career Studies (Sage).

Prior to joining George Mason, Maury was Director (Dean) of Cranfield School of Management, one of the UK’s leading MBA and Executive Development institutions.
