PrintStats is an APTech member exclusive business demographic resource, jointly developed by industry experts Dr. Joe Webb, Richard Romano, and economic consulting firm ExpliStats. Launched in 2017, PrintStats provides executives, marketers, and other industry professionals with actionable data they can use to estimate market size, identify geographic opportunities, develop sales territory plans, and much more.
Covering a broad range of industries relating to commercial printing, packaging and converting, publishing, and content creation, PrintStats provides users with details on establishments, employees, payroll cost, as well as estimates on the value of shipments and capital expenditures. The baseline data used in PrintStats comes from the 2015 County Business Patterns, released at the end of April, 2017. This data has been further enhanced, through additional research and statistical analysis, to include industry shipments (or revenues) and capital expenditures as well as estimates and forecasts of 2016, 2017, and forecasts for 2022**.
Additional information, including a full listing of available reports, is available as a PDF [link], or through the links above.
**Note: 2022 is a statistical forecast intended to show the direction of data as they are at the time of publication. These forecasts are created through analysis of the Country Business Patterns data (source: U.S. Census Bureau) and are not an assessment of future technology, economic conditions, or social factors that would be part of a comprehensive forecasting process.
