Bill Gardner

As the owner and president of Gardner Design, Bill has produced effective and award-winning results for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to one-man shops. He understands the nuances of brand practicalities better than anyone in the business and leads his team to first consider the business that the design is supporting.

As the founder of – the international, searchable compendium of logos – Bill authored the affiliated bestselling LogoLounge book series, volumes 1-10, and is the author of the annual LogoLounge Logo Trend Report. 2013 marked the release of the highly anticipated Logo Creed, a foundation textbook for students, educators and professionals alike.

In 2014, Bill became an AIGA Fellow Award recipient for his contributions to the local, national and international creative community.

Bill also judges design competitions and speaks nationally and internationally on identity trends and logo development. In his spare time, he serves on several community boards and has completed a six-year term as the Territorial Vice President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Ken Garner

Ken’s career in the graphic communications industry spans more than four decades. For over thirty years he led the growth and development of a prominent publication printing company, before moving to the world of association management in 2008 as President & CEO of the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association. He has been an active public speaker presenting at numerous conferences and trade shows. He has participated on a number of industry boards including serving as chairman of NAPL and the Graphic Arts Education Foundation.  He was awarded the prestigious Soderstrom Award in 2004.

Manish Gupta

Mr. Manish Gupta is the Deputy General Manager for PP & IP Marketing at Konica Minolta India. He has a post-graduate degree in Marketing & IT. He has earned recognition for his impressive contributions to marketing during his more than 20 years experience in the Indian printing industry.

Throughout his career he has served in many key positions. Prior to joining Konica Minolta, Mr. Gupta worked as a Business Consultant for 10 years, where he was responsible for assessing customer requirements and solution planning.

At Konica Minolta Mr. Gupta has contributed significantly to the growth of the Konica Minolta brand in India, taking Konica Minolta to a leadership position in Digital Production Printing Segment in India. Mr. Gupta has also been credited with strengthening Konica Minolta products in the photo industry.

A. Appadurai

Country Manager - Indigo & Inkjet Business Solutions


As the Country Manager for HP Indigo and Inkjet presses, India and Sri Lanka, Appadurai leads the digital press initiative in India and Sri Lanka. He is responsible for end-to-end GTM activities as well as the strategic planning and execution of sales growth and business excellence initiatives for HP Indigo and Inkjet presses, which include both pre-and post-sales.
Additionally, Appadurai also has full profit and loss responsibility for the business unit. One of Appadurai's key achievements in his current role was growing the HP Indigo business in India and Sri Lanka into a mature and profitable business that is also one of the fastest-growing within HP.
In his current role, Appadurai has successfully led his team of product managers in steering the business to new heights by introducing leading products and solutions to the marketplace, clinching high-value deals and developing strategic alliances with partners. Appadurai has close to 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and business management of which 10 years were in the digital print industry. Appadurai holds an MBA, as well as a diploma in printing and a computer science degree.

SN Venkataraman

Divisional Head Marketing

Paperboard and Specialty Paper Division, ITC PSPD

Venkataraman, or 'Venky' as he is fondly known in the industry, has a career spanning over 25 years with ITC's Paperboards & Specialty Papers Division (PSPD) in Sales and Marketing. He has worked in field sales, key account management, international sales and as the head of domestic sales. During this period, ITC PSPD has steadily expanded its business and is today, a dominant player in packaging and graphic paperboards, communication papers and in specialty boards and papers. It is also a leader in the virgin boards and recycled boards segments.

Venky initiated the membership of ITC in WWF-GFTN India, which brings together companies and stakeholders interested in sustainable forestry development. He and his team have worked with FMCG, pharmaceutical, food and other packaged goods companies in meeting brand packaging requirements by bringing world-class products to the Indian market and propelling ITC PSPD to a leadership position. He is active on the CII Telangana panel and IIP, Hyderabad advisory committee.

Nandagopal Rajan

Nandagopal Rajan is the editor for New Media at, one of the largest English news websites in India. He started his career with the Hindustan Times and has also worked with the India Today group. At Express, he looks at how the sensibilities and sensitivity of print journalism can be harnessed for the quick-paced, eyeball-driven pressures of online journalism.

Nandagopal also writes extensively on technology and has covered everything from pen drives to big data and the Apples and BlackBerrys in between. Over the past year, he has driven the launch of three new regional websites in Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali.

Sarang Kulkarni


WhiteCrow Designs and Co-Founder, Ek Type

A calligrapher and type designer based in Mumbai, Sarang focuses on letterform design in Indian scripts. He founded WhiteCrow, a design studio and custom type foundry in 2005. Working together with several advertising and design agencies, WhiteCrow has steadily found its niche in calligraphy, custom logotype design, bespoke typefaces and multilingual branding. In 2013, Sarang co-founded Ek Type, an award-winning type foundry that develops fonts across 11 Indian scripts and serves as a platform to collaborate, create and commercialize fonts. Modak and Baloo, two of Ek Type’s popular and acclaimed typefaces, are developed by Sarang. His work is featured regularly and has won several awards including the D&AD and the Black and Blue Elephants at Kyoorius.

His key clients include Google, Vodafone India, Virgin mobile India, Coca-Cola South Asia, Pidilite, Star TV, Godrej, Future Group, Tata Sky, Sun Pharma and Titan. The Government of India including the Finance ministry and the Prime Minister’s Office, ABP News, Dainik Jagran, Loksatta, Lokmat, Star Bharat, Pratham Books, Barista, Kellogg's and millions across the globe are users of Ek Type’s open sourced typefaces.

Sarang, an alumnus of Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Arts, is also a part of Aksharaya, a non-profit that collectively documents, promotes, explores and creates awareness about Indian scripts.

Vikrant Mathur

Vikrant and his team are responsible for the development and sales of Nielsen Book’s Book Scan services in the Asia-Pacific region. Vikrant was instrumental in the introduction of Nielsen’s consumer book purchasing research program to India in 2010. In this role, he worked closely with his team to educate the book industry in India and beyond about the importance of metadata to both publishers and booksellers in gaining valuable insight into consumer purchasing behavior for print and digital books.

With 17 years of experience in the market research industry, Vikrant has worked across multiple industry verticals, providing strategies for local and global clients to stay ahead in a competitive market.

Harshit Desai

A self-professed experience evangelist and new media enthusiast, Harshit Desai's mission is to enhance the user's experience of everyday digital devices. Harshit has proven thought leadership in 'Experience Consulting' from implementing numerous strategic and tactical initiatives for Fortune 500 companies in the areas of FMCG, Telecom, Entertainment, Media, IT and Product Development. While he has worked on large-scale disruptive projects for larger online presences such as Yahoo & eBay, his award-winning international work has been in Banking and Financial Services, where he has worked with the likes of Citibank, HSBC, Standard-Chartered and Merrill Lynch.

Harshit is a proud alumnus of Stanford Graduate School of Business and was the youngest entrant in their Customer Focused Innovation program. Another of his passions is to encourage 'Design Thinking' by presenting at various UX, Technology and Management conferences across the globe. Mukundun Govindaraj

Mukundan Govindaraj has extensive experience in immersive technologies (augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality) and new markets that are steadily changing the world around us, with a strong foundation in Unity game engine, web & mobile technologies and Computer-generated imagery (CGI) pipeline.
